Urban Uprising - 12 Years Later

There was something that was very clear to many people in the last decades of the 20th century, which was that western society as we know it was heading for a complete breakdown over the next decades.
This knowledge was spread in the hard electronics scene I was involved in. Marc Acardipane announced in a 1990 interview that the times are going to get rough and the people better be prepared for it. In the sheet that came with the original release of "Future Crusade" on Things To Come Records, Oliver Chesler declared that our superstructure is collapsing. Atari Teenage Riot described that the future is war. I could give countless of other examples for this, but i will skip them this time.

Of course this knowledge was not only communicated in that scene, but in many other scenes and contexts too.

In 2001, i wrote the track "Urban Uprising" in light of this. In 2002, it was released on the "Acid Massacre" 12" on Black Monolith records. At that time, in my head was that there are gonna be a lot of riots, clashes, uprisings and unrests over the next years.
And so far we had the Arab Uprising, riots in South America, protests in South Europe, a riot in London.
The unrest is spreading more and more every day.
I highly believe the "crisis" is different from the crises capitalism managed to solve in some way in the past.

Europe is gonna go up in flames.

What will be the outcome of this is not known yet. But it is better to be prepared, even if only in ones mind.
